Duration: 32 nights. Convoy of four vehicles.
The wait is finally over. After 12 months of meticulously pouring over topographical maps, modifying suspension setups, and coordinating calendars, the ultimate 4WD expedition is officially underway.
Four vehicles, a crew of friends, and miles of unpredictable terrain lie ahead.
Our outback expedition begins with a journey north along the Stuart Highway, venturing deep into Australia's Red Centre to Alice Springs. From there, the route tackles the rugged terrain of the Tanami Track, leading travellers to the spectacular topography of Wolfe Creek Crater before arriving at Halls Creek.
The journey continues onwards to the iconic, striped beehive formations of Purnululu National Park (the Bungle Bungles), followed by a transit to Kununurra. Heading south, the route navigates down the historic Duncan Road, tracing the eastern side of Lake Argyle and the edge of the Bungle Bungles.
Next comes the crown jewel of the expedition: the legendary Canning Stock Route (CSR). Stretching across 1,850 km of remote desert, it stands as the world's longest and most demanding 4WD track. After conquering the CSR, the expedition travels along a network of famous outback roads originally surveyed by the legendary Len Beadell, tracking toward Yulara before completing the ultimate desert loop back home along the Stuart Highway.
Now the dust has finally settled on our unforgettable journey across Australia’s most iconic outback tracks. Our five-week expedition pushed both the crew and our vehicles to the absolute limit from the endless corrugations, vehicle-bashing bush, towering red crests and the unforgiving red dust and mud.
Our crew leaves tighter than ever, bound by vehicle recoveries and on-track repairs, the early-morning sunrises and spectacular sunsets that only the outback can deliver.
Thanks for the memories, Mike, Anita, Mark, Helen, Graham and Lorraine.
